Can you read realtime with your scanner?
If so see what the coolant temp is reading.

Try driving it for about 15 minutes and then let it idle for a few and see if it is still the same.

Maybe something wrong with the new sensor.
Is it low when cold?

yeh its a little low when cold... I have a spare sensor lying around that I'll try, maybe I'll try a new thermostat as well, no harm in that....

Could it be the computer though? Sending a wrong signal? I hope this doesnt turn out to be a HUGE problem thats not worth the cost... I luv this car too much

The computers aren't known to have problems like this.

Tech.. you are the man!

Thanks for your help, I had a spare sensor and thermostat hanging around soI changed them both.. and Voila... four days.. no problem! I brought them both back to volvo, and they gave me a refund on the thermostat.. it was faulty!

I guess this is why I had no cabin heat and a problem starting in sub zero temps

glad its over
