does anyone know how to reset the service light that comes up on the dash of my 2001 c70??

 

My 2007 C70 has a service light that the dealer sets and many times the dealer is not helpful to remove as they like to get you to visit. It is a tricky sequence to remove and difficult to describe.
First the your dash odometer disply must be in 'trip 1'.
Put key in ignition, turn to 1st position, press & hold 'trip 1' button.
Turn key to 2nd position ('triangle or some emblem will blink). After 3rd blink release 'trip 1' button and turn key in off position.
Is that crazy or what? Anyhow, it works on my vehicle..good luck.

Resetting SRL lamp (Service Reminder Lamp) to zero

Resetting SRL lamp (Service Reminder Lamp) to zero
To reset the service reminder lamp to zero do the following:
-Ignition off.
-Press in and hold down the reset button for the trip meter.
-Turn the ignition on.
-Continue to hold down the rest button for 10 seconds; after 10 seconds the SRL lamp will flash.
-Release the reset button no later than 4 seconds after the lamp started to flash.

thank you guys, i tried both methods yet the service light never went out..maybe im hitting the wrong buttons?

 

I haven reset the light on my C70 in like 7 years, so I dont remember.
Thats what I got from vadis.
If you have a volvo dealer near by they should reset it for you for free..
