i looked and it is not on my speedomiter cover. i have a 89 240 and was told that it could be on the speedomiter plastic cover .. but it is not ... then i heard that it may be under the dash....</P>


does anyone know where under the dash i can find the reset for the service light..</P>

on a hunch I went to ebay and found a picture of a 1989 volvo 240 dash and you are right...There is no button on your dash. </P>


Look under the dash. There should be a box like around the back of the speedo. I think there is a button on it which counts the mileage and turns on the light at 5k miles.</P>


Sorry about misleading you. My 740 has the button by the speedo but I now remember that the 240s had this other box</P>
