Some C70 Questions
Hey guys, just took delivery of my 99 C70 and I LOVE IT!!!! However I have some questions that maybe you can help me with!
1. The CEL came on, and when I took it to Autozone to have them read the codes, it came up P1171 which was Manufacturer Controlled Fuel & Air Metering. Which I was told is the Mass Air Flow sensor. But when I questioned a service guy @ Volvo about it. They said that if it was the MAF sensor, that my car would stall. And it doesn't. Is it possible that it was a single fault and now is operating fine? And if so, how can I reset the CEL?
2. The Service light has come on. How do I reset that one as well?
3. The car starts and runs beautifully. However, when I shut the engine down, it kinda shuts down roughly. Is that a problem with something? Or is that just normal for a 99 with 65K on it?
Thanks for your help guys

RE: Some C70 Questions
I unplugged the connection to the MAF and then took the negative lead off the battery for over 1 min. When I reconnected the battery the CEL stayed off. And hasn't come back on with 30 min of driving. So hopefully it was just a single fault. So now I can get it inspected. But does anyone know how to stop the service light from coming on?

RE: Some C70 Questions
Ok, well the CEL came back on. And I think its the same fault. Which was P1171. Has anyone gotten the same fault? If so what did they do to fix it?
Also, what size tires are stock on a 99 C70. I think the tires are too big on mine, because when I cut the wheel all the way, it rubs on the wheel well. And i'm pretty sure that it shouldn't do that.

ORIGINAL: tech
I think P1171 might be the Cam sensor.
Any problems with stalling or not starting?
For the tire size check in the fuel door it should say on the sticker.
