SPACERS!!! WHAT SIZE TO GET???
Im currently interested in lowering my 1999 C 70 About 2 inches but i plan on adding spacers to my rear wheels..the only thong is that there are different measures 30mm 15mm and 10mm i would like to see any pictures of people that alreadyhave them and the sizes they have... thanks...any suggestion on (excellent) brands??? money is not a factor...
How do you plan to lower your car 2"? KW Coilovers?
Are you going to be running OEM rims that came with the car or something else? I guess what I am getting at is what size rims do you plan on?

im planning on keeping the same stock rims the car came with but I want to know how thick the spacers need to be... if i drop the car about 2 inches maybe 1.5..
Ok so what your saying is you would like the rims and tires to be spaced out more so then they are. They don't "NEED" to be, you would like them to be.
5-10 mm should do it though. I doubt you will need anything bigger then that. Maybe 15mm

............you best find some longer wheel bolts or you will suffer a catastrophic accident!! You ought to see what happens when the last few threads pull out of the hub......a 4000 pound Volvo can truly roll end over end for quite a distance.
You are correct in that observation..........it is more prevelant to see the bolts sold with the spacers. That has to do with the increase in the amount of litigation! In "the old days" the kiddies wanted to put oversize rims on their autos but did not want to spend the money to purchase a wheel with the correct offset and so they bought 'spacers'. Most of them were not even hub-centric! At any rate longer bolts were not included and the kiddies did not want to spend the money buying them! The result was horrific and the mfg's who sold the spacers without instruction re: longer bolts paid the price. The moral of the story is: don't cheap out and go second rate when your life is in balance......don't use spacers under any circumstance and buy the correct wheel! By installing 30 mm spacers on either side you are now placing a huge stress on your front suspension and indeed, the turning radius is generally affected.
Caveat emptor indeed, caveat lector.

Have seen the aftermath from it many times.
