Default sqeaks and wind noise

Ok i have a number of aoying squeaks and wind noise/wistling from the window and door seals.

I have read that BMW's "gummiphlege" is what I need to stop the squeaks and revitalize the door and window seals therby stopping the wind noise.

Problem is the nearest BMW dealer is 1 1/2 hour away and they say they can not get the stuff any longer.

What do others use and where can I get it?

Default RE: sqeaks and wind noise

You are correct..........BMW stopped using the gummiphlege. Thank God I still have some left. I'll bet that you could probably use some silicone grease on the seals..............gummiphlege is very similar. You do not use a lot..........simply wiping it on the rubber is all that is necessary.

I spoke with my BMW mechanic (dealer) last night. He enlightened me to thefact that one does NOT want to use any product with silicone on the rubber seals. He informs me that sun light and silicone do not work well together and in fact, the dealership stopped using all silicone products.
