Well, the first question would be is your car a manual or automatic transmission equipped car? Check engine light on, how about any other warning lamps on the dash? I am guess if it's a manual transmission car it might be the clutch, if it's an automatic transmission car, it may be the transmission.

Does the car idle and rev normally when stationary?

Good luck with the car.

I have a saffron Coupe as well. Mine is a 1998 with a manual transmission. It's been a pretty good, reliable car overall.

Cheers,

What maintenance/work have you performed lately? What ignition parts have been replaced? What does your exhaust end pipe look like, color? Completed all scheduled maintenance? Need more info. Could be simple or major. there are some real smart mechanics on here that can help if you anser some questions on he status of your vehicle. Always give drive train info, 2.3, 2.4, manual, automatic etc., and latest work done. Good luck!

Hi, sorry i havent gotten back on here. I discovered it was a bad CAT. So now i just a 2.5" straight pipe. Car was driving perfect until yesterday... It started idling very "weird" and it would start to stumble in reverse then just completely stop! Almost as if all the brakes were gripping at the same time... gave it gas then jolted in reverse but then came to a complete stop again!... now my check engine light came on and its tell me its misfiring cylinders 1 and 2... checked the plug wires and all are good but one... also i have NGK 100K racing plugs so i dont know if they could not be co-operating with the car very well.

any suggestions as to what it could be? i've heard alot of different ones but i just dont know which to go with.. ive heard it could be MAF going out or the trans brake, and torque converter.. i just dont know what to do??

Oh and its a 98 c70 2.3L , 114,xxx miles, oil change coming up and transmission flush about 2 months ago. no other recent services done

thank you guys please let me know if you guys have any ideas or similar problems in the past.
