Turbo Leaking Oil and Smoking
Hi - I have just bought a blue smoking C70 2.0L T as a project. Its a great looking car with 100k on it but obviously a problem. It starts smoking after about a minute or so, at which point I turn it off. I suspect its a turbo problem but I am new to turbos. I have stripped away some of the pipe work (air pipes to the filter and one that runs to the front - intercooler?) they both were oily inside - the one that runs to the front dropped a bit of oil out when I disconnected it from the cooler end even. Ok inside the air filter box. I have taken a look underneth the car too and there is oil around the joint where the turbo joins the exhaust manifold and also at the other side - I have added some photos. My questions are;
is this likely to be the oil seals gone
is there a guide on how to swap/repair the turbo
should I just give up and sell uit for parts (it would be a shame as it seems to be a good car). Any advice greatly appreciated.
