Okay,

I've got a speedometer that dies intermittently. When it is not working the odometer and the trip odo show dashes only on the display.

Scanner indicates vehicle speed sensor code.

Autozone, Advance, and O'Reilly's do not have this part available. Is there another source on line for these? I've been looking, but no luck yet.

Also, where is the little bugger located at? Just got the car Monday and haven't had a chance to get maintenance manuals yet.

Ok I'm bored again and impatient...going to pick up my baby from the shop in an hour...so here's what I found from another forum...it's probably on here to...but search gave me an abundance of threads..

bottom line it might be your ABS module also...not sure...

 

Appreciate the input. Hopefully Pull A Part has one of these things, if not I throw a new sensor at it and see what happens.

Additional info: When speedometer dies, brake and ABS lights illuminate in addition to check engine light.
