Default Window problem.

Good day all. I have a 2008 C70 - drivers window playing up. Window remains at fully extended position and cannot shut the door as the window does not 'dip' as the door reaches the 'closed position.
Problem started after battery went flat whilst being worked on in garage.
At present the drivers door module is disconnected and window dropped manually about 1/2 inch. Can now shut the door but no electric windows, central locking, control over interior lights etc.

Quick reset to fix? Or new unit required?

Thanks in advance.

dunno about the Volvos but on my VW CC, there's a procedure of fully lowering the window then fully raising and holding the up button for 5 seconds to retrain the window position sensor. Sounds like your car needs the same - did you try googling or searching Youtube for "volvo window calibration" or similar?

I have tried a few suggested window re-sets - without luck so far. Wondered if anyone else had encountered the same problem.

Just a quick update about drivers door window problem.

Tried several calibration/resets on drivers door window without success.
Finally visited local Volvo agents for full diagnostic.

Turns out to be a 'burn out' or electrical damage to inside of control box in drivers door.

Fitted and everything back to normal.
