Exclamation Window Regultor - Please Help Me!

Ok without going into great detail of what led up to this My 2001 C70 convertible needs the window regulator repaired or replaced on the driver's side (yeah I've read about these, go figure). I have replaced a couple of regulators before on other cars, but nothing could have prepared me for what I seem to be facing on this. My issue right now is that I can't even get the window assembly out of the car. The two torx adjustment screws on the bottom are getting hung on the lip of the door and no matter how much I wiggle I can't get the thing out. I understand you are supposed to run them all the way in, but I have done that and they still seem to be too long. They are literally almost bending the regulator and backing them out doesn't seem to be an option because of the washer built into the screws (for lack of a more fitting term). Anybody have any suggestions, I feel like such an idiot, I must be missing a very simple step. I can only find one youtube video on removing the window assembly and it never shows him actually pulling it out. Please, please help me, I'm at my wits end here. If it makes any difference at all, regulator failure seemed to be caused by the rubber on the end of the screws holding the motor shearing causing it to fall out of place, and it appears this repair may have been done before on this car.

I lifted mine out straight up, if I recall correctly. Did my Linc LS around same time, both drivers windows.

It should yes but these bolts are in the way. How do I get them out. If you've done one on a c70 I'm sure you know what I'm talking about.

Followup question. I am reading that I need to cut the cable and place the window in the up position to get the assembly out of the door. Window is down...is that the issue?

I had the glass in the full up position. I didn't cut any cables. You have more wiggle room with the glass full up. I still have my old 1 in the garage.
