Default Xenon headlights

What's the deal with these blue 6000 or 8500K Xenon headlights that I see on Ebay? They say they can replace the current bulbs without any modification needed. Anyone have any experience with these?

Thanks!

These are fake crap. Do not purchase these.

If you want HIDs buy HIDs. The best place to purchase HIDs is SharpHID, John will take good care of you. Plus the prices are very good as well.

If you get and HID Kit, the most you should really have to mod is the dust cap that screws onto the back of the headlight assembly. I had to drill a hole to run the wiring from the new ballast to the new bulbs. The new bulbs should come with a rubber stopper to keep it clean and dry!

HID's are cheap now. You don't even have to pay $200 now for a good set of HIDs. If you go to SharpHID you will see. http://www.sharphid.com/

The kit you want to purchase is, Apexcone 35w Performance Series kit. $150 and you get a LIFETIME warranty. John is very helpful and a great person to deal with.

You will have to drill a hole in your LOW Beam dust cap. Right in the center of it. Not hard to do. I was able to put these HID's in in under 45 minutes per side. Also plenty of instructions on the web on Volvo based forums.
