Hello, the Driving Journal App showed up the other day on my 2021 XC40 Recharge. I tried to use it but I kept on getting this error message" Volvo trips log is off" and then it asks me to go to the privacy settings then click on Volvo and then change it. But I can't find this setting anywhere on the car's settings page nor can I find these settings in the Volvo Car App in my iPhone. I have both the car iPhone app synced to my car. So I know that's not the issue. Any help? Thanks!

 

I can only speak to the Android version, but perhaps the process is the same:

1. Open app
2. Go to the "your account" page
3. Select "App Settings"
4. Select "Driving Journal Settings"
5. Enable for your vehicle (it shows a list of all registered vehicles).

I wonder if it's less about the app version and more about the software in the car. If you have one of the new cars running on Android Automotive the feature may not yet be enabled. I just checked the online manual, and while the journal is mentioned for my late 2022 S60, the manual for the 2023 version makes no mention of it.

the driving journal showed up and i've tried to activate it, without success.

As an admin, on the volvo privacy setting there's no option for the journal app, nor is it available on the mobile app.
I have logged out and logged in on the mobile app and rebooted the android automotive (long press on the screen button until it reboots).
I've even tried to use both car keys inside the car.

Any idea on how to solve this or is it just an incomplete feature that i must wait until the next release (i currently have 2.5) ?

Same thing happening to me.
I have a 2023 XC60 with software update 2.5 using the app on an iPhone.
already called Volvo about it.

 

same on my new xc40 recharge. No options as per the pictures above. Anyone got anywhere with this yet?
