Default ethanol in T8

I know it recommends in the handbook for the car that you should use 93 octane. I took delivery of the car in January 2021 and have been using shell 93 octane with ethanol almost exclusively. A few days ago the the engine light came on so I took it into the dealership. they told me that there was a cloudy substance in the gas tank. They asked what kind of gas I was using. I told them and they said I should use gasoline that has NO ethanol. I said I can get it without ethanol but it's 91 octane. they said that's what I should do.

Has anyone else have had any issues with using ethanol in their T8 model? This would probably apply to other models that are using the supercharged and turbocharged engines.

How much ethanol was in it?

Up to 10% is fine.

I am in Iowa. we have 10% in almost all gas. 15% option but I have never used 15% in any of my vehicles. I have been using 93 octane with 10% ( Shell) for 6 months. no issues until now. I think it could be a bad O2 sensor. I have had bad O2 before but not a new car.
