XC90 Leaking Moonroof...come on Volvo this is a safety issue
Hello all,
My wife's XC90 is in the Service department for repairs and I asked them to inspect the rubber seals on top of the roof. When I was washing the car last week I got up on a step stool to clean the top and noticed a 1 inch gap in between the rubber seal and the moonroof.
I noticed water would come into the rear cargo area whenever I went to a car wash so I stopped and just handwashed exclusively.
Now I see why the water was in the cargo area. I took it to Volvo and of course it is not covered by them.
My extended warranty claims it is a seal so deterioration of seals is not covered.
However this isn't a deterioration as much as faulty manufacturing which should fall on Volvo.
What have others done with this? I was quoted $1.6k to fix by dealership...
