Please suggest for me the kits/parts/etc...

I am in need of replacing the head gasket on an 01 s40. I know it's the same as the 04 s40 so I am quite familiar with the vehicle.

What ELSE should I look at and replace (For the sake of not having issues with these matters in the future)

I currently have the 02 Sensors, extra parts for emissions, a few bearings for different parts.

Please help me out here, I do not want to spend a fortune but I need a good set of minds to help me find out what will last for me.

I appreciate your help in my endeavor.


ALSO... IF YOU WOULD LIKE, I CAN TAKE PICS OF THE WHOLE PROCESS PER ITEM I JUST NEED ENOUGH FOLKS TO WANT IT

 

I'd simply shop Volvo friendly web sites for a complete head kit for all the odd seals. Why would you want to reuse a $5 seal considering all the hours invested? FCP Euro (has a Reinz kit on sale too...), EEuroparts, IPDUSA are just three of the sites I've used over the years. Also consider doing the PCV system while you have the intake manifold off. New bolts are a must since the threads stretch but I don't know if there's a difference between brands. When in doubt you can use a Euro name brand like Febi etc. Just make sure you get the kit that matches your engine's serial number.
