I want to clean the brake dust/whatever won't come off from scrubbing with a brush. I was wondering what the best product for this would be. There seems to be a lot of black stuff building up and i want to get it off.

try commercialized wheel acid and castro superclean.. spray on and hose off with pressure washer.. it washes off fast, easy and clean

 

sorry to sound like a novice, but what is commercialized wheel acid? what are some example products that will do the job?

 

There are several brands of rim cleaner readily available at parts stores.

Most of them are in a spray container. Simply spray the cleaner on, rub it in with a soft brush, leave it for about 2 minutes and rinse off.

 

I have had good results using Advance Auto's Wheel Cleaner and Tire Cleaner.

 

I jut got done cleaning my rims with Mother FX Engineered Wheel Cleaner, and it worked beautifully. All of the build up that was impossible to get off by scrubbing with soap and water is now gone. I definitely recommend this product.

 

i just used meguiars wheel cleaner this weekend and it worked amazing...
