I went to the options menu to program Disc Text for when a CD is playing. When I put a CD in it will not display the name of the CD or anything. It just displays DISC 1 Track 1........ These are new CD's so they are formatted for this.

Any thoughts, THANK YOU..........

 

I don't think all Cds have this feature, even it they are "new". I've got the same car, and some CDs do display... but not many.

 

Are you talking about "new" CD's as in just bought it from the store and taking off the plastic wrapping new? Most store bought cd's DO NOT come with CD Text on it.

Personally, I make a copy of the cd and add cd text to it.

Also, just a quick word. When you burn cd's with Windows Media Player, iTunes and Real Player and such, they DO NOT burn cd's with cd text. You have to use a cd burning program like Nero.

This will fix the problem. Guarantee.
