I just installed a new antenna on my 2001 s40. While I had no issues with the install, when I finished I tried to tune my radio to different FM and AM stations to verify that everything was working. The AM band worked fine, but I could not tune to any FM stations. I have been without a radio for a few months as I just never got around to ordering a new antenna or installing it after my old one broke, so I do not know for sure if it is the antenna or something else in the wiring that is causing the problem now. any help is appreciated.

 

If you can't change the frequency then I'd guess it's the radio. If you can change frequency but do not hear anything on a known frequency then I'd guess something in the antenna either came loose or was missed in the install.
