hey guys, im new to the fourms. ok here is my ride 2006 volve S40 t5 6-speed manual FWD, 37,554 miles. only MOD's it ad is a K&N typhoon intake. heres my question. i want the ECU upgrade from EVOLVECARS im fixn to buy it but i wanted to hear more about it. im getting the 93+ octain tune. does it really work and can u feel the differance. also, since i have a intake, will the ecu have to be tunedd differently, like should i tell EVOLVE that i have a intake or will it really matter? finally im tring to find the stock boost on the s40 t5, i believe its around 10 is it not? so guy, please get back to be and give me advice or more options. thanks!!!!

 

1. Yes they really work.

2. Tell them you have an intake, they may do something different they may not. Tell them anyways.

 

Yes with the air intake you may be able to get the chip programmed fro more air flow availiable. I would also check out IPDUSA as they have nice custom chips aswell. Also you may want to do more engine mode before getting an ecu, as the more mods already done will add to the performance increase from a ecu remap.
