06 S40 Won't Start & Stuck In Park
Hi,
I would greatly appreciated any thoughts you guys may have on this issue...
I have a 2006 Volvo S40, 2.4 Automatic. Left the lights on over the weekend and the car battery was dead and would not start obviously. After jumping the car for 15 minutes, the engine would still not turnover. Also, the transmission was stuck in park. The radio, windows, and dashboard lights would function while being jumped though. Have jumped this car (and others) in the past and most would start just fine at this point.
My suspicion is that it is not a battery issue as there was plenty of power for everything else. Could the computer lock everything out because the battery was completely drained? The fact that it is stuck in park seems to indicate some type of computer issue or neutral safety switch? But why would this happen right when the battery was dead?
Really appreciate any help
