Hello all! I'm actually being a bit deceptive here... I don't own a Volvo. Instead I own a '06 Ford Focus ST which of course has the same engine as the S40/V50 T5 though I guess the mapping is a bit different (5 hp more). I hope you won't tear me to pieces for buying the wrong car...[&:]just thought I'll get more help here than at the idiot Ford dealership.

Anyways, my problem is a weird one. When I drive at low engine speeds (around 2000 rpm) with constant throttle, it feels like the car can't decide if it would give me turbo boost or not. Small twitches of power. Same happens when I engine brake; the deacceleration varies even though I don't touch anything!

What could be wrong here? I'm pretty sure it didn't do this before (the mileage is now around 17000km).

 

Ford has a turbo charged 5 cylinder engine in a Focus?

You'd probably get more help with your Ford at a Volvo dealer too.
