the ecu is not located under the hood of my car. i think i found it poking around under the dash. does anyone know where it is located and how to remove it?

 

Found this on another post: "It is located under a black cover in the induction system.Look at the cooling fan under the hood.Then look almost in the center of the engine there will be a cover with 2 screws in the top of the cover.Remove the 2 screw and then the cover.Then you should see it." My S40 is not at home today so I can't snap a pic for you - but let me know if this helps.
