Default 2000 S40 Rear Anti-Roll Bar Mount Removal required?

I am about to replace the rear shocks and coils on my car. Apparently one of the first things that I need to do is to address the anti-roll stabalizer bar. While the car is on the ground prior to raising the rear end..

Am I supposed remove the 4 bolts hold the 2 stablizer mounting brackets to the frame? Thus unattaching these 2 brackets from the frame?

or

Do I removing the 2 bolts at the ends of the 2 connecting links, where they attach to each end of the stabalizer bar, thus unattaching the 2 links from the 2 ends of the stablizer bar?

Thanks in advance for any replies
