Is a Bosch better than a Beck/Arnley Alternator? I'm going to need mine replaced real soon and would like to purchase it beforehand since the mechanic is trying to charge me over $400 for a remanufactured one.

 

IMHO, whichever one gives you a lifetime warranty is the best.

Personally, I have mine rebuilt locally. Check around and see if you have a rebuilder close to you. The one near me in Knoxville has always been less than $50.
