Default 2001 Volvo S40 Starts Unless I Accelerate

I don't know why this is happening or how it happend i just went start my car and it would'nt have enough gas to crank so i went to accelerate it and out goes but once i stop accelerating it dies out n i just get a check engine light, battery light, and the oil pressure light. Please help thank you for your time.

Sounds like the fuel pressure regulator. The symptoms are long cranking times before it starts. Check your fuel pressure. It should build immediately to the 45psi-ish range and stay there after the key is turned off. Other possible problems are the Idle Air Control motor and fuel pump though less likely.
