2002 s40 check engine code P0015
Welcome to the P0015 club! You'll find more info than you can shake a stick at on this topic simply by googling "Volvo v40 (or s40) p0015." You'll also see that many of us have been very frustrated by this code.
Root cause, small oil passages clogged up preventing VVT from shifting from it's "lock" position on the cam.
Most likely cause, clogged VVT. Other things to check - wiring of solenoid, resistance test of solenoid (I think 7-9 ohms is range), clogged solenoid, and wiring to the cam position sensor on the othe side of engine.
Some claim to have had some success by using ATF or Seafoam in the oil for 500km prior to next oil change...I may resort to this next myself as I really don't feel like replacing my vvt again!!!
