Please Help,

I have a 2002 s40 which starts, but quickly dies. I have had problems lately with starting it, but recently put in a new battery (last saturday). It was running fine all week, until this afternoon, when all the sudden it would start, but it woud quickly putter out and die. I am able to reverse and go forward a couple meters, but it still dies. Any good advice would be greatly appreciated.

Try having the codes read out of the engine computer.

 

Check to see if the fuse for the engine management controls is blown its a 10 amp fuse in the engine compartment fuse box.
