Heya fellas, i own a 2002 volvo s40 1.9T and would like to ask a few questions.
First of all, once i see "fuel up" sign on my panel(meaning i have 1.9gallons leftin the tank) i fill up my car(i use octane 93 unleaded gas) i can maximum put it somewhere around 11-12gallons. And i know by the passport it says the capacity of a fuel tank should be 16 us gallons. Although, 11-12 + 1.9 = isnt 16!!! Please let me know whats wrong with that.
ALso, Id like to know what should be my average mileage (city) because i usually do around 200 miles untill i hit the light. And i was thinkin it should ve been aat least up to 250.
Fog lights.When i bought my car there were no fog lights. And so im just curious where to find some decent ones and how much would they be...?
The last thing, i need to change my rims and im not sure wheather i should order them from the internet(e-bay) or maybe some other site or just go and buy them off the store. And which ones should i get, considering that i drive around the city where the roads are deadly (Brooklyn, NY)

I have a '02 S40 and usually get about 250 miles with city driving.

Good question on tank capacity. There are several other posts on this same issue. I also fill up about 11-12 gallons when my fuel light is lit and it's a 15.9 gallon tank.

 

My s40 averages 26 mpg in town and 30 on the road. I have never been able to get more than 12 US gallons in it when supposedly empty. Volvo makes driving lights for the car. They were standard equipment on the s40 Sport model, along with black headlight and turn lightt boxes.I have Enkei wheels on my s40. They are the correct bolt pattern and offset for the car and look very nice-they are gray with two silver stripes around the outside and silver in the middle.About $500 US for the set plus shipping.Volvo also makes some sharp wheels for the car.BJ
