2002 Volvo s40 questions
I am curious about two things in my 2002 Volvo s40.
The door handle on drivers side. If this is pulled out before one inserts the ignition key (we are talking about using the key here for entry) does the keyslot light up? This is to help guide you to insert the key. I know that it does this on Japanese cars, I cannot remember if it does this on a Volvo s40.
The second thing is the info screen, when it is set to register the amount of miles that you can drive on the current tank of gasoline. Does this only count down in 5 mile graduations? It does this on mine or is it more fine grained, say by 1 mile?
Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

On my 2003 S40 the keyslot does not light up. Of course that light could be blown or otherwise not working so I'd wait until someone else confirms before taking that as fact.
I noticed too that the 'miles to zero' was always a rounded off number. I've watched it before while driving and could never catch it in the act of changing to see what the increments are. It either 5 or 10, but definatly not 1. I also do not trust it. When my gas guage pegs out to zero that info screen tells me I still have 50 miles to go usually. I've never tested it and always fill up when the needle gets into the red.
