Default 2005 S40 2.4i Manual Transmission

I recently completed a transmission flush on my Pontiac G6. Now my wife wants me to do a similar job on her '05 S40. Problem is, I don't even know where to start as the cars are completely different. It was easy to find a filter kit and my Pontiac used common Dexron VI auto fluid. On a manual Volvo, the only information I was able to find after hours of searching online is that the fluid type is MTF 97309-10.

I take it that's a Volvo-only fluid that I'm likely not to find in any other retail environment? What does it cost? What about the filter/gasket kit?

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I'm sorry, I don't think I made myself clear on the post.

I'm speaking only of an '05 S40 with a manual transmission. The auto transmission is from my Pontiac, which I completed the flush before with no issues. Also, the pictures to your response thread are broken.

I do appreciate your response though. Any bit of information would be greatly helpful.

I see them on mine, maybe a plug-in or something...

anyways, manual transmissions for the most part do NOT have a filter. just fluid change.

It still doesn't work for me, but I'll try it again from a different computer. It could be the java plug-ins.

What kind of fluid do you recommend using? The owner's manual simply states "MTF 97309-10". No clue what that refers to. . . No luck finding it out on the Internet.
