Forgive me for my lack of technical knowledge and description, I will try my best to describe my problem in somewhat understandable lingo. :-) My 2005 S40 has problems starting, only on occasion though. I have had it in the shop twice already, third time later this month for the same issue. Since it never does it while it's at the shop (of course) they can't tell me whats wrong with it. There isn't a check engine light on. It happens a few times every few weeks or so and then stops for a while. I attempt to start the car and it idles rough, never really turns over and I end up having to turn it off and start it again. It turns over fine the second time. Has anyone experience similar problems? I have had quite a few problems already with the car, radio issue, fuel line replacement. All problems that came with this new model. Do I just continue to take the car in everytime it happens.....it's under warranty. Sorry for the long post.

 

What quality of gas are you using? Has the dealer preformed the gasoline ECM upgrade? If not it may be worth while to look into.
