Hey everyone,

I recently purchased a 2005 Volvo s40 for myself and have done quite a bit of work on it to get it into working condition. I bought the vehicle from an owner on craigslist (my first mistake) and I had to replace the engine head and later to my dismay the transmission (which I was not told was not in working condition).

I bought this car very cheap, roughly 2000 because of all the problems it had. Now that I have worked out all the mechanical problems, I am only a few steps away from restoring this car to its original beauty! At this point, I am looking into replacing the display for the dashboard audio system. It works however the display was cracked and not in the best condition .. however I have heard this is a huge expensive and tricky endeavor because of the complexity of the system. Can somebody please help me out here and give me a brief overview of what I'm getting myself in to?

Also, where can I buy a replacement? Can I just buy the display and replace it myself? My logic is that since I have already sunk so much time and money into this car I'm just going to go the extra mile if I have to and would like to get a great new system or at the very least replace the display but I haven't found anything on amazon or ebay .. thanks for the help in advance!
