Default 2006 S40 - ABS light

Hello all,

I replaced the front left cv axle and hub assembly on my 2006 S40 2.4i. Now my ABS light is on and the warning message "ABS/Anti-skid service required". I replaced the corresponding speed sensor (because it was relatively cheap and hoping for an easy fix). That did not help.

Any suggestions? I'm hoping it's not because the hub was pressed in incorrectly. Is that possible.

Thanks

The hub with the gear like teeth have a very close tolerance to the ABS sensor. You might want to compare it to the other side.

There is no tone ring. The hub assembly is one piece with the bearings sealed inside.

Aftermarket hub? It could be wrong, or not fully pressed in.

If its fully pressed in, it can only really be the hub (assuming the code is for that side)
