Default 2006 S40: Engine Swap
Hey, Does anyone know if the engine has to be dropped from the bottom or if it ca be hoisted out from top?

Also, are there any good references for this type of project?

You can probably pull it from the top but I've always dropped them.

Would I be able to drop it working at home? I don't know of a way to get car high enough to be able to do something like this. Is there a way without a shop lift?

Doing it at home would make it pretty hard, if not impossible, to drop it.

Yeah I'm getting ready to replace one at work and that's really the only way I see that you can do it.
