can this radio be upfitted to work with XM?

 

My father has the 01 S80 and just got Sirius about a week ago. The only problem he had was that without an Aux input it will run through an FM transmitter which can sometimes cause interference. He remedied the situation by using his tape deck (the connector that used to be used when people only had tape players but not CD players in cars.) The issue there is that the 05 S40 and up doesn't have a tape deck. That's been my one limitation to allowing him to get one for my car (I have the 05.)

The other option is to get it hardwired into the car--but that's going to add to the cost.

I'm not any sort of expert, this is just what I've been told by my father and brother who both have Sirius. Hope it helps!
