My wife and son are looking out of town at a 2006 s40. They called and told me they like the car but it is rough shifting and has a rough idle. I'm thinking it might have a tranny problem and might need a tune up. Any thoughts?

 

any check engine light codes? Not likely the tranny - could be coils, plugs or a vacuum leak or throttle body (clean up or may need a rebuild of the contacts)

 

No codes. He had a vacuum leak fixed last week. I'll check on the plugs and coils Thanks for the help
