Hello there, having issues with my daughters 2008 s40 2.4. Car will start fine and then after idling for a few seconds (maybe 30-45 seconds) the car backfires runs like crap and dies or almost dies. And as soon as it backfires the antiskid light flashes and comes up in display.Check codes and I’m getting a constant tcm-0192 and a ABS-0101. Now from time to time I’ll get a ECM-6404, Ecm-990F,ECM-310D. Could any of the timing components cause the antiskid and “limp”?
Trying to get this thing sorted out so she has a vehicle to drive. Any help would be great. TIA

The ABS computer is tied into the ECU and controls the anti-skid. You need to have a full scan of all codes (not all code readers can view/clear codes outside of the emissions (P codes) to see what's up. Could be a wheel sensor, transmission speed sensor, steering sensor, ABS controller, bad wiring or dirty/corroded connectors etc. Check out Midwest ABS or Xemodex's web pages for some symptoms/causes related to ABS controller issues. They can also rebuild your unit if it turns out to be the cause.
