Default AC compressor replacement

My AC compressor clutch is going in my 07 2.4i,
​​​Does anyone have s guide teplacing one on this model.

Most likely you don't need to replace the clutch, but rather you need to reshim it. The clutch is designed to operate with a specific air gap and they tend to fail at .7mm and the goal is to reduce that to .3 or .4mm. Search the boards for posts on this topic but you may be able to access the compressor from the passenger wheel well door (similar to how timing belt replacements are done). You'd need to remove the serpentine belts then pull the clutch off - some have done it without a puller but plan on renting a tool. You may also find useful vids on Youtube.

Thank you, I did see this fix around the forum for intermittent cooling. I checked the gap and it's around .3mm, feels a little less to be honest. It felt like too much resistance on the feeler gage using the .3mm file. So I don't think this is my issue. The clutch on my car takes a long time to engage and when it does it stays cool until I park the car for several hours which is why I was leaning toward replacing
