This is for an s40 2003. The plastic arm broke on the right side of the pull handle. I'm trying to change the drivers exterior door handle. I have removed the door panel and removed the bolts to the handle. There is a rod connected to one end of the handle and I cannot remove it. Is there one of those lock washers on the end next to the plastic? Can't see it.The key lock is loose but it looks like I have to remove that rod to rotate the key lock and then possibly slide out the handle. There was also a cover on the inside which extends down the inside of the door. I moved that to the right. Seems like there is more to remove. Do I have to remove the lock mechanism on the side of the door? any other hints or where I can go to get some instructions to get this completed? Also does the handle slide and pull up and out of the outside of the door? Thank you for your help!
