Airbag Question
Bought a used 2001 S40 which I gave to my daughter in Atlanta area. Airbag like came on, she took it to a dealership in Marietta, they told her the airbag under the passenger seat is bad. This doesn't make sense to me. Can anyone tell me where the air bags are located in this vehicle? Is $900 to replace it a fair cost?
Thanks for all responses.

Here is my story:
When I test drove my car the airbag light was on, seller (shady dealer) told me it had to do with just replacing the battery and just needed to be reset. I told him I wouldn't buy the car with the light on. He took it to a Mazda dealership (WTH?) they couldn't do it so it ended up at an actual Volvo dealer who "reset" it. I forked over $5,750 for the car the next day. A week later, this light comes on again, I take it to the dealer who tells me the airbag shorted and needs replacement. $900 later, I have a new airbag.
Coincidence? I think NOT!
In other words, yes $900 is the going price and no you really can't do it yourself. This is one of those rare things better left to the actual experts.
