Does anyone have a write-up on changing the alternator in a 2001 s40. I have the expensive alternator but dont have the cash to pay 160 to have it changed. I have done it on jeeps and stuff before but i dont know how to work the tensioner on this car. ASAP if possible. thanks

 

Using a 14MM wrench to move the tensioner is how the tensioner work move it towards the front of the car.
Then remove the Power steering pum then you can gain access to the Alt.
