Hi it might be related to my another thread, but not sure so I'd just start a new one, so my s40 (98)'s sunvisor got loose so I went investigate it and tried some temporary fix, during the process, I might accidentally pull a bit too hard it might damage the wire in side the sunvisor, after i completely removed the sunvirsor (with the wire disconnected) i found all the interior lights are not working anymore, include the other vanity mirror even the cd player, and the dashborad led is messed up a little (for example, the door unlock led is half on, its not full on but anyway, along with immobilizer led), also, the clock resets itself everything i start the car.

so that is a short circuit i suppose? is this easy to fix without going to a mechanic?

 

You probably blew a fuse. Have you checked them?

 

User's manual, page 181, suggests that interior lighting is a 5A fuse #47.
