Default Another problem?

Alright, when I'm slowing down at a red light, sometimes my RPM's go down smoothly and sometimes they will go down and then spontaneously go back up to ~900 as I'm slowing down. But when I am stopped my idle is smooth and constant. Also, my idle seems slow...maybe ~650-700, it also drops when I am slowing down sometimes to 550-600 especially when it is cold out.

Would this be related to the IAC?

I can't tell if the transmission is actually shifting up or not.
I assume there are no transmission problems because I just had a flush done and the dealer didn't say anything bad about it.

Thanks

Do you have a pic pointing out where it should be on a ph. 1?
Maybe from VADIS?

Clean with what exactly?
Ur the man tech!

Sorry no pics but it looks like in the one post you replied to.
It is on the front of the intake. Remove the black cover and you should see it under there.

There is only 2 screws holding it on there. Clean it with carb or brake cleaner.

It bolts to where the green gasket is in the 1st pic. The second pic someone is holding the idle motor.

Ah OK. So when we talk about Idle Air Control Valve cleaning. Is that the same as cleaning idle motor? Cause that's what I want to attempt.
oR IS THERE a different part of it I need to clean.

Thanks tech!

OK, I was planning on it. Idle motor = IAC. I thought we were talking about something different!
Can't to it today, you know 20 degrees is a little chilly!

Thanks!
