Best HID Conversion Kit?
Hello,
So I've heard that installing HID headlights on an S40 is a risky business: electrical problems; windshield motor burning out; wipers going off at random; headlights "buzzing" on and off. These are some of the problems I have read about.
Does anyone know if it is at all possible to install HID headlights on an S40? Mine is a 2008 with 100K miles. I saw that some folks had mentioned sharphid.com way back, but that firm has gone out of business. What about the factory HID headlights? I've seen some used ones on Ebay for $200 each. They're expensive, but I may be willing to shell out the cash if they work without any problems. Also, are these factory ones plug-and-play? Do they need any special modification?
Has anyone had any luck with this? If so, please advise. Thanks!
