hello there, few months ago i bought a keyless remote(amazon)for my s40,it came with a code maybe its a code i need to use to configure, is there a way i can do it myself? by the way, i only have one car key, they say the keys come with digital digits, at a local shop they ran the key to find the digits and they told me it didnt have, so i am a lil disapointed, either they were lost or my volvo key, because of the 00' model they didnt used digital digits, meaning that to make a copy i should take to a small key copy shop...another thing, my car was manufactured at "netherlands" hmmm...what do u people know about troubles from models being manufactured there, lemons and a series of conflicts..

Remote controls for this model/year can only be programmed using Volvo diagnostic equipment.

Why should that make it a lemon? In 1999, when your car may have been made, the Netherlands plant produced 132,000 vehicles. This total was only surpassed by the Belgian plant at Ghent which turned out 151,350.

 

Dealer will need to program it.
