Buying my first car!!! Need you opinions! ('05 S40 T5)
Hi!
Here's the one I'm considering right now :
http://www.lespac.com/search/detail....n=&%20prio=
It's basicly an automatic '05 VOLVO S40 Turbo with 5 cylinders, leather, 98 000 km for 14k $.
I really don't know much about Volvo... let alone a S40.
Can you tell me your opinion on it? Does is seems like a nice deal? What are the pros and cons of owning this car?
Thanks!! [sm=groupwave.gif]

It's an automatic '05 VOLVO S40 Turbo with 5 cylinders, leather,60k milesfor 12k USD$. If you need more infos to be translated please just ask. I really need your input guys.
It's not a bad price, I mean it's fair especially since it's the newer body style...
considering I payed 11 for an 04 LSE with 65k miles.
pros are your buying a car that will last you 200k miles, It's sporty, fast and it's a Volvo..so it's safe. Check around online for recalls and see if there are any issues you need to worry about.
cons are it's not cheap to fix. that's the only con i can think of.
let us know and welcome to the site! these guys know Volvo's and they are invaluable when yo have an issue.

What's up,
I just bought an 05 s40 T5 about five months ago, it's an awesome car, but it can get a little expensive so get a good warranty if you can. It's a very quick car, especially if you get the T5 turbo. I get alot of compliments on my car so I'm sure when you get yours you will too! keep us posted, and good luck!

I'm 22. Just got out of Univ and I always told myself I'd buy a nice car when I'm done with school... and there I am!
TBH I wanted a 330xi very much but the maintenance costs + the douchebag stereotype made me turn away from the brand.
BTW, is there also a bad strereotype for Volvo drivers? Do you get picked on by people because of your car or **** like that?

I don't. Only comments I get are positive. People love the car and there aren't a million of them on the road like the BMW's. Plus the S40 is the cheaper model, but most people who don't know Volvo don't know that and think it's in a better class then the BMW.
