I am from Chicago and currently doing my research on S40 and S40 R T5. So far i have seen MSRP between $31 500 - $36 500.

What do you think is a realistic price afer rebates and all discounts for both models?

I am ready to give $10 000 as a downpayment and looking for a montly payment of $400 - $450 the most.

Is this realistic?

You may find the following site useful in researching your vehicle: www.automobilemag.com. I used it to negotiate a "great" price for my 2009 s40.

 

Went through a car buying service on my 2009 S40 T5 AWD so I did pretty well. According to Edmunds there's a $2500 incentive on 2009 S40s through 02/01/10. Think if you can get "invoice" or below less incentives it would be an OK deal.
