Cam tool help
Hi VF fam!
I'm new to the forums, and new to the Volvo brand. I have a 2000 Volvo S40 with oil getting into 2 of the plug wells which I discovered while performing a tune-up, I also discovered several bolts missing (REPLACED ALREADY) which was causing loss of compression and some of the oil spill. after talking with and being turned down by several mechanics I've decided to fix the issue myself from my understanding I have to get a cam allignment tool (have found one). Does anybody know how to use this tool or can point me in the right direction!!!!

You can do a general search for cam tool installation since they work the same way. You want the tool to engage the cam pulley teeth so that they won't rotate.
BUT...what mechanics turned down work? Or, was the price not agreeable?
You didn't say what the repair is, but it seems to be a valve cover gasket replacement. How many miles on the engine and has the timing belt been changed? Do a search on the forum for timing belt replacement information.
