I'm getting a camshaft CEL on my 07 S40. Mechanic told me timing may be off or the map sensor may be replaced and a simple oil change may help. I'm in the process of changing the oil as i type this. Does anyone have any knowledge as to why this problem has occurred and what someone should do about it? Thanks.

 

Does anyone know how to reset the Check Engine on an 07 S40 2.4?

 

Oil change didn't seem to help. I've ordered a OBD II code scanner/ eraser so I can check on my fixes. Still don't know what's causing it. I'll have the exact code and definition soon and I'll post that up.

 

Post the code when you can and it might narrow down the causes.
